Welcome to “Advert / Stock 26/02/2023” by weekly update on the stock available, and the links to get you filtered on the types of models you are interested in.

Model Kits Ltd is a UK based small independent retailer.

I started the company with a single aim. To try and help get models / kits into the hands of UK builders so that they can enjoy their hobby.

I also have a stock of the GUNPRIMER Balancers and some of the other GUNPRIMER products, as well as a supply of reasonably priced basic bases.

If you are thinking about picking up something new, or just want to have a browse for some inspiration please consider us as an option.

I am continuing to increase the breadth of stock available in the shop as items become available; including, but not limited to, adding an MGEX Strike Freedom when the box arrives. I had 3 but 2 have already been accounted for.

Lightening Stock Update 21/02/2023

So this should, again, have been the next step in the Aile Strike build, but I have just sorted my next invoice and wanted to share some details! So instead of that, welcome to “Lightening Stock Update 21/02/2023”!

On the HG side I will have the ChuChu Demi Trainer, the Dilanza Standard, Dom RickDom, G Armour, GM Command Space, GM Sniper II, Gundam Psycho, Guncannon RX-77-2 Revive, and Kampfer.

That is just the HGs that are coming in. As normal as a small company slowly growing I will have limited numbers of items so if there is something there you are interested in then you will want to be on the ball!

I will also have the MG DeathScythe coming in.

Again this is an absolutely awesome looking model. It looks outstanding!

Talking of MG models I will also hopefully have a spare MGEX Strike Freedom looking for a home. So if that is your sort of thing then you may want to get on that one as I’m sure that will go fast.

On the RG side, I will be having the GOD, Exia, RX-78-2, Wing, Wing XXXG-01W EW, OO QANT. Z’Gok Char Custom, Zaku II MS-06F and Zaku MS-06S also coming in.

Conclusion

As always the invoice is paid, I just need it to ship. Now as you all know I tend to have what I lovingly call hit and miss luck with UPS packages coming in to the country. However, I’m going to be hopeful that this is a smooth one and I will be seeing these all very soon!

Advert / Stock 19/02/2023

Welcome to “Advert / Stock 19/02/2023”. A post that does what it says on the tin.

I have had a fairly quiet week this week stock wise, leading to the opportunity to sort some other pieces. I have, however, listed some basic stands for sale. They are £2 each. I will be honest, they make more sense to get with a model so the postage is already covered.

I think they are quite flexible and allow you do do all sorts with your 1/144 scale models. You can find them here.

Please excuse my photography skills, I am working on it, but I just need some time to sit down and work on it!

I am also continuing to work on my build of the RG Aile Strike. You can buy yours here. So far it is living up to expectations and building beautifully.

Welcome to “Advert / Stock 12/02/2023” this weeks update on any changes in stock and a blatant advert for the shop 😀

So I have had a mini box with a few items in this week which was nice. However, before I leap in there I should remind everyone, that if they are after this beast:

So moving on from the Unicorn we have had some HG, MG and RG action this week!

I was fortunate enough to manage to snag a HG Age-2 Normal, and HG Age-3 Normal, as well as another Brady Hound to replenish stock there.

On the MG Side I got MG Astray Red Frame and MG Barbatos.

On the RG side of things I got the RG Aile Strike, RG Astray Red Frame, and RG Destiny.

This all is on top of the items I got last week!

Advert / Stock 05/02/2023 is a quick update on the stock and the shop and a blatant advert for the shop 🙂

I have had, what could be called a mini re-stock of some items. This week a got a handful of MG and RG kits in. At the moment I also have the HG Guels Dilanza in stock here. I also have an MG Buster and MG Justice available also. Why not use the links at the bottom to have a browse and see if something takes your eye. I still have the PG Unicorn available if you fancy a challenge!

However, my preference is to deal with people directly so they know up front the box may be bent or slightly damaged. RX-78-2 Revive

Introduction

Anyone who has been around the Gundam / Gunpla world is more than likely going to have come across the RX-78-2 models. For anyone coming late to the party the RX-78-2 was the Gundam piloted by Amuro in the original series. It is the poster boy of the franchise and has had many iterations and releases.

Attainability

Arguably none as attainable as the RX-78-2 Revive. For only £12.99 (you can get it here) this HG model is both affordable and is great fun to build. Not only that but is ripe for customisation, and at that price you don’t mind experimenting!

The RX-78-2 Revive looks like this:

In my case mine currently looks more like this:

Parts Ready to Paint — Small holder of parts

Ready for undercoat — Small holder of parts

As you can see I’m doing an attempt at an undercoat and paint on this. I have also wired up an LED in his helmet, and made space/holes down the inside of the suit to get the wires down to his feet. There was, I have to admit, a fair amount of butchery had to go on. However, a lot of this was a learning curve. I really want to get another once this one is done and do it totally differently.

Conclusion

If you don’t have one in your collection I really would recommend one. The Revive version is a really enjoyable build. At the end you have an iconic looking model, that has a timeless look and feel. I think when I look at this model I see the groundwork being laid for many of the suits / designs that have followed it. They may have more details, but the feel and general layout of items is often very similar.

Weekly Shop Roundup 15/01/2023

Introduction

Weekly Shop Roundup 15/01/2023! Ok I don’t want to “flood” my Page/Socials with adverts for the shop. I want most of the posts to be purely about GunPla and the associated mediums. However, I do also have a shop so to balance it I’m trying to keep my adverts to 1 advert a week…well and when I list things so people know they can go look!

I have had, what I believe we would call, a mixed bag, this week.

The Good

On the one hand I got some absolutely stunning new models in the shop!

The Bad

On the flip side a large chunk of the stock came in with damage to the boxes. I know that a lot of builders and collectors want the box to be in as pristine condition as everything else. I may have to list them on the site, with the relevant warnings, but, in the first instance I want to try and secure buyers through direct contact to ensure they know.

RG Zeta

I was lucky enough to get my hands on an RG Zeta. Getting hold of the RG models and the MG models seems really difficult at the moment. However, I am slowly building up my stock of these models.

If you haven’t seen the Zeta it looks like this.

I think it looks like a stunning model, and on top of that it transforms! The model has a very distinctive style with minor tweaks / details added to the chest and waist to really make it stand out. Even the design of the legs is similar to feel comfortable, but just different enough to elevate the model to its own level.

The RG Zeta Gundam was released as part of the 10th instalment of the RG series that appeared to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Gunpla.

Key highlights of this model are:

Realistic reproduction of Zeta Gundam’s mechanism.
This kit also transforms into the Wave Rider form.
New advanced MS joint adoption.
Realistic decals included.
